Little is known about the Neapolitan artist Edoardo Scognamiglio: his output includes numerous views and vistas, mainly Neapolitan, but also popular genre scenes and portraits of popular figures. His production had a wide following abroad as well, where he became known, appreciated, and widely in demand, earning him the English-speaking name Edwardo.
