Description
Cornelis Petrus ‘t Hoen was born on March 3 1814 in Amsterdam. Initially a merchant and amateur painter, he decided to pursue a career as a painter. He took lessons from G.A. Roth, then attended the Academy in The Hague, where A. Waldorp and A. Schelfhout were his teachers. For several years he worked in The Hague and Amsterdam and in 1859 he moved to Brussels. He was a member of the Royal Academy in Amsterdam. The work is in perfect condition with well-preserved solid frame.
